JPEG and JPG are exactly the same photo formats. No difference between a .jpg file and a .jpeg photo — both formats employ the very same JPEG encoding method and save image data in the exact same format. The difference is entirely in the extension, which is a relic from the early days of computing. JPEG was created in 1992 by the Joint Photogr
